Borko is an oasis in Pays Dogon. Traveling from busy Bandiagara through the rocky valley, you might be shocked to reach Borko with its easy Shangri La tempo. The village’s green and tree-lined lane runs along a lazy waterway (harboring the village’s honored caimans). Particularly on market day, the village is bustling with many people and distractions. The village has one totem: the highly revered caiman.
